Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, oats, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Cut in vegetable oil spread until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg. Press half of the mixture into a 9-inch-square baking pan.
Combine apples, dried cherries and lemon juice in a large bowl. Add brown sugar, the remaining 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, ginger and cloves; toss to combine. Layer apple mixture evenly over the crust. Sprinkle with the remaining oat mixture.
Bake about 50 minutes or until topping is lightly browned and apples are tender. Cool slightly; serve warm. Cut into bars to serve.
