In a large saucepan cook ground turkey over medium-high heat until brown. Drain off any fat. Stir in onion, 1/4 cup water and garlic. Cook about 5 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring frequently.
Stir in tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, the remaining 1 cup water, chili powder, cumin and sugar. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in beans and frozen corn. Return to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Top each serving with cheese.
