On a small plate, combine salt, smoked paprika and chili powder. Rub the rims of 8 beer glasses or mugs with one of the lime wedges. Dip rims of glasses in the salt mixture to coat.
Fill each glass half full of ice cubes. Divide beer among the glasses. In a small pitcher, combine tomato juice (or other juice), Worcestershire, and liquid smoke. Divide juice mixture among the glasses. Add a lime wedge to each glass, gently squeezing juice into the glass. Season to taste with hot sauce. If desired, garnish with tiny chile peppers.
