Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and onion; cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until the onion is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in orzo. Cook and stir about 2 minutes more, or until the orzo is light brown.
Carefully stir in broth, marjoram and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes. Stir in broccoli and carrot. Return to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 3 minutes, or until the orzo is just tender. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
