Preheat broiler. Place breadsticks on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt. Broil 4 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden, turning breadsticks once. Remove from pan and keep warm.
Arrange fish and asparagus in a single layer on the broiler pan rack. In a small bowl, stir together the remaining 1 tablespoon butter and lemon juice. Drizzle butter mixture over fish and brush over asparagus. Sprinkle fish and asparagus with thyme and pepper.
Broil 4 inches from heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork and asparagus is crisp-tender, turning asparagus once. Serve fish and asparagus with breadsticks and, if desired, lemon wedges.
