In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir for about 5 minutes or until onion is light brown and tender. Add jalapeño and garlic; cook and stir for 1 minute. Remove pan from heat. Stir in bourbon. Return pan to heat and bring mixture to a boil. Cook and stir about 5 minutes or until most of the bourbon has evaporated.
In a large bowl, using a potato masher or the back of a fork, slightly mash blueberries. Stir mashed blueberries, ketchup, maple syrup, vinegar, nutmeg and allspice into pan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened. If desired, cool mixture slightly; transfer to a blender or food processor. Cover and blend or process until smooth.
