Heat oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add shallots; cook and stir just until tender. Add apples, brown sugar, apple juice (or cider) and cinnamon; cook for about 5 minutes more or just until apples are tender and sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Carefully stir in blackberries. Cool for 30 minutes. Serve with turkey, ham or beef.
