Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar, apple cider mix, vanilla, and salt. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in flour until combined. Add milk; beat just until combined.
Place turbinado sugar in a small bowl. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. Roll balls in turbinado sugar to coat. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Using the bottom of a glass or the palm of your hand, press balls until 1/4 inch thick.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are firm and bottoms are light brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack; cool.
