Cook pasta in 5-quart Dutch oven as directed on package, adding shrimp and vegetables during the last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking. Drain well.
Mix half-and-half, cheese, salt and all of the Spices in same Dutch oven. Bring to boil, stirring constantly with whisk. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes. Add pasta, shrimp, vegetables and sour cream; toss gently to coat well and heat through. Serve immediately with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
I was looking for a different way to serve shrimp and came across this recipe. I didn't have the McCormick spice packet but I did have the individual spices so I used them as listed. I added a couple of dashes of Cajun blackened fish spice and also a dash of cayenne pepper to kick it up a bit. I was a bit short on half-and-half so I supplemented the amount called for with heavy whipping cream. I served the dish with a garden salad with Italian dressing. Delicious!
