1 package Grill Mates® Smoky Ranchero Marinade
1/4 cup oil
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. white vinegar
2 lbs. chicken, pork or steak
1. Mix Marinade Mix, oil, water and vinegar in small bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons marinade for basting. Place meat in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add remaining marinade; turn to coat.
2. Refrigerate 15 minutes or longer for extra flavor. (Marinade seafood no longer than 30 minutes). Remove from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.
3. Grill or broil until cooked through, basting with reserved marinade halfway through cooking. Discard any remaining marinade.
Makes 1/2 cup marinade.
Carne Asada Marinade: Mix Marinade Mix, 1/4 cup each oil, orange juice and lime juice, and 2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro. Continue as directed. Great on flank steak.
SPICES (INCLUDING SMOKED PAPRIKA, CHIPOTLE CHILI PEPPER), SALT, ONION, GARLIC, TOMATO, SUGAR, MODIFIED CORN STARCH, GREEN BELL PEPPER, NATURAL FLAVOR, AND EXTRACTIVES OF PAPRIKA.
2 tsp. dry mix (4.5g) (Seasons 1 tbsp. marinade)
After mixing, the marinade I s very thick and red. It's intimidating and spicy looking! I was hesitant to try the first bite but was pleasantly surprised by a nice smokey and rich tomato flavor. Love it! My favorite Grill Mate by far!
