Rub generously on meat before grilling (about 2 tablespoons per 1 pound). Also great on chicken and in butter to season corn!
CHILI PEPPER, SPICES AND HERBS (INCLUDING RED PEPPER), BROWN SUGAR, GARLIC, SALT, ONION, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, SILICON DIOXIDE (ADDED TO MAKE FREE FLOWING), MALTODEXTRIN, NATURAL FLAVOR, AND CORN SYRUP SOLIDS.
2 teaspoons (4.5g)
I regularly smoke pork ribs in my uds. I would never think of using any other rub for my ribs. I've tried other rubs marketed more specifically for competition ribs but I find this rub provides a great balance with the right amount of heat to let the pork really come through.

Sooo my mother passed away and my husband and boys wanted to fix me a nice meal after we drove in from Okla. He spent all day (10 hours brining and smoking a beautiful pork tenderloin using your Grill Mates Pork Rub. The seasoning DOES NOT Indicate "Spicy!" it literally blistered the roof of my mouth. My grown boys who eat jalapenos and Spicy Cheetos were UNABLE to eat the pork as well due to the EXTREME SPICY nature of your seasoning! I feel McCormick owes me a new pork and reimbursement! It ruined out meal, we were worn out from the drive and funeral and ALL Of us are disappointed! Change the label to say "Spicy Pork Rub!" Not indicating how "Spicy" it is caused a blister in my mouth and a trashed pork! Sooo disappointed! Sooo Frustrated! Will NEVER Buy seasoning made my McCormick again!

We are so sorry for your disappointing experience with our Pork Rub, Christy. It is a spicy blend with the first ingredient being chili pepper. It also contains red pepper. We did reply to your Facebook message as well and have provided more information there. We will be glad to share your comments with the appropriate personnel. Thanks for reaching out. ~Leslie

This is the closet thing I've found to the taste of the old, greatly missed (discontinued) McCormick spare rib cooking bag. It's a bit spicier, though. I cook my (usually boneless) pork ribs seasoned with this in my dutch oven. Delicious!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stuff! I was running low on this and went to the grocer to buy some more only to find that they had run out. :( It took me a week and three other stores before I could snag some more. I bought 2 containers because I was afraid of running out. My favorite use is to rub this on thick pork chops with a pat of butter and laid out on a bed of apples and onions and baked. I can't wait to use other applications.
