Cuban Style Yellow Rice

Colorful, bold and bright. Show your love for the flavors of Cuba! Pimientos, peas, lime juice, onion, cumin and garlic powder combine with Zatarain’s® Yellow Rice with Broccoli to create this Cuban side dish. Serve with roasted pork tenderloin or baked chicken and you‘ve got yourself a meal!

  • Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onion, pimientos, cumin and garlic powder; cook and stir 3 minutes or until onions are translucent.

  • Stir water, Rice Mix and butter into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes.

  • Stir in peas and lime juice. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer or until rice is tender. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff rice with fork before serving.
