Louisiana Cajun Rice

Keep ingredients like pork sausage or ground beef, celery, onion and bell pepper on hand in your refrigerator so you can easily prepare this a one-skillet dish.

  • Brown sausage in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.

  • Stir remaining ingredients into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.

  • Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.

Cooking tip

• Use rice mixture as a filling for lettuce wraps or stuffed peppers, or as a dressing for roast chicken.
