King Ranch Chicken Skillet

The favorite Tex-Mex casserole of chicken, tomatoes, cheese and tortillas becomes a hearty one-dish dinner with the addition of Zatarain’s® Chicken Flavor Rice.

  • Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove from skillet. Set aside.

  • Stir water, tomatoes, Rice Mix and chili powder into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes.

  • Stir in chicken and sour cream; cover and simmer 5 minutes longer or until rice is tender. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand 5 minutes.

Cooking tip

Serving Suggestion: Sprinkle with 1 cup crushed tortilla chips before serving.
