Root Beer Ice Pops

Give your kids an old-fashioned root beer pop made from the original Zatarain’s Root Beer Concentrate. Stir in the sweetness of sugar, vanilla extract and lemon juice, and then just pop them in the freezer ‘til done. Fun and flavorful, it’s the perfect summer recipe for kids – both young and old.

  • Stir sugar and hot water in medium bowl until sugar is dissolved. Stir in Root Beer Concentrate, vanilla and lemon juice

  • Pour 1/2 cup of mixture into each popsicle mold. Freeze about 2 hours or until partially frozen. Insert popsicle sticks into each mold. Freeze 2 to 3 hours longer or until frozen.

Cooking tip

Freezing time may vary according to the size of popsicle mold.

Test Kitchen Tip:  If popsicle molds are unavailable, use small disposable plastic cups and plastic spoons.
