The secret to savory, smooth beef-flavored gravy? McCormick® Brown Gravy Mix. Serve over the holiday roast, hot sandwiches or mashed potatoes. Mix-ins like sautéed mushrooms, thyme or milk let you customize to your preference.

  • Stir water gradually into Gravy Mix with whisk in small saucepan.

  • Stirring frequently, cook on medium heat until gravy comes to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. (Gravy will thicken upon standing.) Serve over beef, hot meat sandwiches or mashed potatoes.

Cooking tip

Microwave Directions: Stir water into Gravy Mix in 1 1/2-quart microwavable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute.

Herbed Mushroom Brown Gravy: Use 3/4 cup water to prepare gravy. Stir 1 cup chopped or sliced sautéed mushrooms and 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Thyme Leaves into prepared gravy.

Creamy Brown Gravy: Use 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water instead of 1 cup water to prepare gravy.
