Garlic Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

A hint of garlic in mashed potatoes changes it from ho-hum to scrumptious. Serve it anytime of the year, from a family dinner to the Thanksgiving feast.

  • Place potatoes in 2-quart saucepan. Cover with water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

  • Drain and return potatoes to saucepan. Add garlic and salt.

  • Mash with potato masher, gradually adding milk, then butter. Stir in cheese and parsley.
