Sesame Tempura Shrimp

Serve these Tempura Shrimp, flecked with sesame seeds, as an hors d'oeuvre or as a main dish.

  • For the Honey Ginger Dipping Sauce, mix all ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.

  • For the Sesame Tempura Shrimp, pour oil into deep fryer, large heavy skillet or saucepan, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat on medium heat to 375°F.

  • Stir Batter Mix, sesame seed, sugar, water and sesame oil in medium bowl until mixed. (Batter will be slightly lumpy.)

  • Dip a few shrimp at a time into batter. Shake off excess. Carefully add shrimp, several pieces at a time, to hot oil. Fry 3 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Serve with Honey Ginger Dipping Sauce.
