Rosemary Roasted Chicken

Just 5 ingredients make a great tasting roasted chicken. Reserve some of the pan drippings to prepare Perfect Chicken Gravy to serve with the chicken.

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Place chicken on rack in foil-lined roasting pan. Brush with oil.

  • Mix rosemary, seasoned salt and thyme in small bowl. Rub evenly over entire chicken.

  • Roast 1 to 1 1/2 hours until chicken is cooked through. Serve with Perfect Chicken Gravy, if desired.

Cooking tip

Peppered Roasted Chicken: Prepare as directed. Omit rosemary leaves. Stir 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper and 1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Red Pepper into seasoning mixture.

    This recipe was wonderful! I had a slightly larger chicken than the recipe called for, about 7 pounds. The seasonings were spot on, not too over powering and not wimpy at all! This came out golden brown and so delicious! This is our all the time roasted chicken recipe from now on!

    This is a wonderful tasting chicken and my family thoroughly enjoys it. In addition to the actual recipe, I put red onion quarters, a bundle of rosemary (tied), and an orange cut into quarters into the cavity for additional flavor aromatics making sure to leave enough airspace for heat to flow through for even cooking.
