Little gems of beer-battered goodness doused in Buffalo wing sauce? Yes, please. Give fried shrimp an extra-crispy crunch with a generous coating of McCormick® Beer Batter. Toss fried shrimp in a spicy buffalo wing sauce and load onto toasted buns. Top with shredded lettuce, carrots, celery and blue cheese dressing for a can’t-keep-their-hands-off-of-these-sliders appetizer. Recipe and photo courtesy of Cheryl Sousan of Tidy Mom.
Pour oil into deep fryer or large heavy skillet, filling no more that 1/3 full. Heat oil to 350°F.
Mix Batter Mix, celery salt and white pepper in large bowl. Coat shrimp in dry mixture, shaking off excess, and set aside. Add beer to remaining batter mixture and whisk until smooth. Dip shrimp in batter, shaking off excess. Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Allow to drain on paper towels. Toss fried shrimp with buffalo sauce in large bowl. Keep warm.
To assemble sliders, slice dinner rolls in half and place, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Butter each half and broil until lightly toasted. Place lettuce, celery, carrots and dressing in a large bowl; tossing to coat. Divide lettuce mixture over the bottom of each roll. Place shrimp over lettuce mixture, sprinkle with crumbled blue cheese and top with roll. Serve immediately.
