Easy Skillet Taco Pasta

No need to precook the pasta – just enough water is added with the Lawry’s® Taco Seasoning Mix for an easy, one-skillet dish that tastes like tacos.

  • Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.

  • Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 15 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.

  • Sprinkle top with cheese. Cover. Cook 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

Cooking tip

Test Kitchen Tip: Top pasta with 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed, or 1 can (4 1/2 ounces) chopped green chilies before adding cheese.

    This recipe was easy and really very good. I tweaked it by adding diced onion and garlic with the meat when I browned it, and I also added a can of Rotel cause we like some spice. Just one thing though - The next time I make this I will cook the pasta separately....I used tri-color spiral pasta and it came out very mushy and the whole meal was too starchy for us. Next time I will use elbows and cook it separately, and then add the pasta in when I'm ready to serve. Other than that, this is an awesome quick dish to serve with some cornbread, and kids would love it!!
