Whether you caught it yourself or bought it market-fresh, making a whole fish on the grill is always an epic endeavor.
Rinse fish and pat dry. Score skin diagonally on both sides of fish.
Brush fish with oil. Season with Applewood Rub. Stuff inside cavity of fish with lemon slices. Place fish on well-oiled grill over medium heat.
Grill 6 to 7 minutes per side or until fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
The fish is ready to turn when the skin releases easily from the grill.
