Wasabi Grilled Salmon

The zesty, aromatic flavor of wasabi powder lends its spark to grilled salmon. Toasted sesame seeds add a nice crunch.

  • Mix wasabi powder, soy sauce and water in small bowl. Add oil, vinegar, brown sugar and sesame seed; mix well. Reserve 2 tablespoons marinade for brushing

  • Place salmon in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add remaining marinade; turn to coat well

  • Refrigerate 30 minutes. Remove salmon from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade

  • Broil or grill over medium-high heat 6 to 7 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Brush with reserved marinade during last 2 minutes of cooking

Cooking tip

• If McCormick Gourmet™ Toasted Sesame Seed is unavailable, use McCormick Gourmet™ Sesame Seed. Toast in a small skillet on medium heat 2 minutes or until fragrant and golden brown. Immediately pour out of hot pan to avoid over-toasting.
