Ingredients

  • Kimchi Slaw
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Red Pepper (Gochugaru), Korean-Style
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cups thinly sliced nappa cabbage
  • 1 Asian pear, thinly sliced
  • Gochugaru BBQ Sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup French's® Tomato Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick Gourmet™ Red Pepper (Gochugaru), Korean-Style
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Sesame Seed, Toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ground Ginger
  • Korean Burgers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons McCormick Gourmet™ Red Pepper (Gochugaru), Korean-Style
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Sicilian Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ground Ginger
  • 4 hamburger rolls

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 For the Slaw, mix all ingredients, except cabbage and pear, in large bowl well blended. Add cabbage and pear; toss to coat well. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • 2 For the BBQ Sauce, mix all ingredients in small saucepan. Cook on medium heat 10 to 15 minutes or until heated through and slightly thickened. Let cool Remove 1/4 cup for brushing burgers during cooking. Reserve remaining sauce for serving.
  • 3 For the Burgers, mix all ingredients, except rolls, in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 4 patties. Grill burgers over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes per side or until cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F), brushing with 1/4 cup of the BBQ Sauce while cooking. Serve burgers on rolls topped with reserved BBQ Sauce and Kimchi Slaw.
