Steep dried hibiscus herbal tea leaves and Whole Cloves in the sun for a refreshing and vibrant tea with aromatic floral flavor. Use Simple Syrup instead of sugar to sweeten the iced tea to avoid any undissolved grains of sugar.
Place water, tea leaves and whole cloves in large container or pitcher. Stir. Cover with lid or plastic wrap. Let stand in sun for 3 to 5 hours.
Strain tea, discarding tea leaves and whole cloves. Serve tea over ice or refrigerate until chilled. Sweeten with Simply Syrup, if desired.
Simple Syrup: Place 1 cup each sugar and water in small saucepan on medium heat. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 3 minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Sweeten tea with 2 tablespoons Simple Syrup per 1 cup tea. For Southern-style sweet tea, increase Simple Syrup to 1/4 cup.
