Fresh Figs with Spiced Honey and Goat Cheese

This fruit and cheese combination is so delicious yet only takes a few minutes to assemble. Serve as an appetizer or a dessert.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Microwave honey in small microwavable bowl on HIGH 30 seconds or until warmed. Stir in lemon peel, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg. Set aside

  • Cut a small slice off bottom of each fig so that it stands upright. Quarter each fig, cutting just halfway down the fig. Press a small chunk of cheese into center of each fig. Place on small foil-lined baking pan

  • Bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Place a fig on each serving plate. Drizzle with spiced honey and serve immediately

Cooking tip

Variation: Prepare as directed, using blue cheese in place of the goat cheese.
