Zatarain’s makes enjoying this classic South Louisiana rice dish quick and easy. Just brown ground beef and add Zatarain’s Dirty Rice Mix, and then let simmer. The prep is quick. The results are delicious.

Test Kitchen Tip: Try adding a mixture of ground beef, ground sausage and finely chopped chicken giblets for more robust flavor.Microwave Directions: Mix 2 1/2 cups hot water, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (optional), 1 pound ground beef, cooked, and Rice Mix in 2 1/2-quart microwavable dish. Cover. Microwave on HIGH 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Carefully remove dish from oven with pot holders. Stir. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Note: Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Cooking times are based on an 1100 watt microwave oven.
