Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound chicken tenders substitution Substitutions available
    • boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package ZATARAIN'S® Garlic and Herb Rice Mix
  • 1 cup thinly sliced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook 2 to 3 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Remove from skillet. Set aside.
  • 2 Stir water, Rice Mix, bell pepper and onion into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • 3 Stir in chicken; cover and simmer 10 minutes longer or until rice is tender. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
