Want a classic New Orleans appetizer in under 30 minutes? Zatarain’s Crab Cake Mix contains the perfect blend of spices and seasonings to enhance any meal, or jazz up any party.
1 package ZATARAIN'S® Crab Cake Mix
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 pound lump or backfin crabmeat
Mix Crab Cake Mix, water, mayonnaise and Creole Mustard in large bowl until well blended. Add crabmeat; toss gently to mix. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Shape into 2-inch crab cakes.
Heat 1/4 cup of the oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Carefully add crab cakes, a few at a time.
Fry 4 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining crab cakes, adding remaining oil as necessary.
Test Kitchen Tip: Add 2 teaspoons ZATARAIN'S® Creole Mustard to the Crab Cake Mix for more of a kick.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with remoulade sauce, if desired.
