This quick prep recipe combines Zatarain’s Southern Stroganoff Pasta Dinner Mix, Zatarain’s Creole Seasoning, beef and vegetables to create a satisfying one-pot meal.
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon ZATARAIN'S® Creole Seasoning
2 pounds beef stew meat, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons oil, divided
1 package (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 cup sliced carrots
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) beef broth
1 cup water
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 package ZATARAIN'S® Southern Stroganoff Pasta Dinner Mix
Mix flour and Creole Seasoning in medium bowl. Coat beef with flour mixture. Heat oil in large deep skillet or Dutch oven on medium-high heat. Add beef in batches; cook until browned on all sides. Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil as needed. Return beef to skillet. Add mushrooms, onion and carrots; cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mix broth, water and tomato paste in medium bowl. Pour over beef and vegetables. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1 hour or until beef is tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir in Pasta Dinner Mix. Bring to boil on medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
