Usage tips

Makes 5 (1-cup) servings.

YOU WILL NEED:

1 package Zatarain’s® Southern Stroganoff Pasta Dinner Mix
1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
2 1/4 cups milk
1 cup water

DIRECTIONS:
1. BROWN
beef in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.
2. STIR in milk, water and Pasta Dinner Mix. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
3. REMOVE from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Sauce will thicken upon standing. Stir before serving.

VARIATIONS
Beef & Vegetable Stroganoff:
Stir 1 cup frozen peas or peas with pearl onions into skillet after pasta mixture comes to boil in Step 2. Continue as directed.

Steak and Mushroom Stroganoff: Use 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips, in place of the ground beef. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add steak; cook and stir about 4 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove steak from skillet. Continue as directed. Stir 1 can (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained, into skillet after pasta mixture comes to boil in Step 2. Return steak to skillet after pasta is cooked.
