This is an original story, and I am its sole author. My story does not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of any person or company, and I have the right to authorize its use in the manner stated in the following paragraph.
I irrevocably and perpetually authorize Company and its affiliates and their successors and assigns and those acting with their permission (the “Authorized Entities”) to edit, use, broadcast, publish, and publicly display my story, in whole or in part, together with my name, age, and city/state/country of residence, and any reproductions or translations of any of them, for advertising, trade, promotion, packaging, publicity, public relations and media purposes and for any other lawful purposes, in all media, including the internet, now known or hereafter developed, throughout the universe, without any limitation whatsoever. I release, discharge and hold harmless the Authorized Entities and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents against any and all claims and liability arising from the submission and use of my story.
I understand that not all stories will be selected and that if my story is chosen, I will not be paid or receive any other compensation.
No individual may change or grant any exceptions to these conditions, and these written conditions reflect the only terms that govern the use of stories submitted. All issues or disputes that may arise in any way out of use of my story will be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland (without regard to principles of conflicts of laws) and will be determined exclusively in and by the federal or state courts in the State of Maryland.
