Usage tips

PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 15 minutes
Makes 4 servings.
YOU WILL NEED
1 pkg. McCormick Seasoning Mix
1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained or 2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 can (15 to 16 oz.) kidney or pinto beans, undrained
Assorted Toppings: shredded cheese, chopped onions, sliced jalapeño peppers or sour cream
DIRECTIONS
1. BROWN meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.
2. STIR in Seasoning Mix, tomatoes and beans. Bring to boil. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with toppings, if desired.

TRY THESE TWISTS!
Cheesy Chili Dip: Omit beans. Stir 1 lb. process cheese spread, cubed, into prepared chili. Serve hot with tortilla chips. Makes 4 cups.
Blazin Hot Chili: Add 1 tsp. McCormick Crushed Red pepper or ¼ tsp. McCormick Ground Red Pepper or jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped, with the beans.

    Tasty and nice heat to it compared to the original recipe. However, a lot of people may find it a bit too hot so if cooking for others be warned it may be too hot for your average chili fan or children.

    Love it! The heat is just nice. Easy to make and so, that's why I always buy a few packets for lazy-to-cook days.

    Used to love this seasoning packet and it actually added taste to my chili but over the past few years the taste has changed - it's not hot at all. Looks like I need to start finding a new kind of seasoning packet that offers a kick!
