The whole white berries of the perennial vine, Piper nigrum L. in which the fruit has been selected early for color and the outer husks removed by slow soaking in water.
• White pepper adds a distinct mild pepper flavor to foods. Use instead of black pepper to add pepper flavor to white or light colored foods.
• Add 1/8 tsp. to 2 cups creamed soups, vichyssoise and clam chowder.
This product has no significant nutritional value per 1/4 tsp. serving.
I do not use it often, but very important for a mild pepper flavor, especially in quiche or eggs. White pepper is a must in white or cream sauces.

This white pepper is soo delicious! It liven up everything especially gravies! I like it, to me it has a oriental after taste. Yummy!
