Tarragon shall be the dried leaves of the perennial herb, Artemisia dracunculus L. closely allied to the sage brush or mugwort plants. The light to dark green leaves shall have a pleasant, aromatic, licorice-aniselike odor and possess a bittersweet and herbaceous taste.
