Brussels sprouts with smoky bacon and is the perfect side dish for hearty roasts. Photo credit: Amy Johnson from She Wears Many Hats.
4 slices bacon, chopped
2 containers (10 ounces each) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half lengthwise
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Thyme Leaves
1/8 teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Coarse Ground
1 cup chicken broth
Cook bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon; set aside. Add Brussels sprouts, onion, garlic powder, salt, thyme and pepper to skillet; cook and stir 3 minutes or until onion is softened.
Pour broth into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until Brussels sprouts are tender.
Sprinkle with bacon before serving.
