Onions rings, a restaurant favorite, can be made easily at home with McCormick® Beer Batter Seafood Batter Mix. Photo credit: Sandy Coughlin from Reluctant Entertainer.
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 cup McCormick® Beer Batter Seafood Batter Mix
2/3 cup beer or water
1 to 2 large onions, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rings (about 2 cups)
Pour oil into deep fryer, large heavy skillet or saucepan, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat oil to 375°F on medium heat.
Stir Batter Mix and beer or water in medium bowl until mixed. Dip onion rings into batter, one at a time. Carefully add onion rings, several at a time, to hot oil.
Fry 3 to 5 minutes, turning once to brown evenly, until onions rings are golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
