Weeknight Pepper Steak

Transport your taste buds to the Orient with this quick-cooking steak and bell peppers in a flavorful ginger sauce.

  • Mix Gravy Mix, water, soy sauce and ginger in small bowl until well blended.

  • Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add steak; cook and stir 2 minutes or until no longer pink. Stir in gravy mixture, onion and bell pepper.

  • Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked rice, if desired.

Cooking tip

Prepare as directed, using 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Red Pepper in place of the Ground Ginger. Use 1 bag (16 ounces) frozen pepper stir-fry blend in place of the onion and bell pepper.

    Easy to Make and Tasty! I season my meat first with some of my usual basic seasons that I like (salt, pepper) before I cooked it, then followed rest of recipe

    It came out just right! I think I have finally found a site that has simple recipes that do not take a lot of time to cook. Thank you McCormick for winning over non-cooks like myself. I actually am looking forward to trying other recipes.

    I substituted beef broth for water and let it simmer for longer, but it was divine! I will definitely doing this one again!

    I am looking for quick recipes to substitute the ones that I usually make. Pepper steak is one of them. I decided to use this recipe in hopes that it would come out like the one that I usually make for my family. There was no difference in taste nor quality compared to the one I usually make however it was a lot quicker to. The only thing I did different was add fresh garlic. This was FASTASTIC. According to my husband I will be making this on the regular.

    It was so easy to make I also seasoned my meat first then followed instructions but I also added red onion, green onions, & jalapenos. It was so delicious & very taste that my girls loved it this.This dish is so quick & easy to make. Next time I will make it with mash potatoes instead white rice.
