  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix brown sugar and spices in small bowl. Rub spice mixture onto both sides of ribs. Place ribs in single layer in foil-lined roasting pan. Cover with foil.

  • Bake 1 hour or until meat starts to pull away from bones.

  • Preheat grill to medium heat. Brush ribs with maple syrup. Grill ribs 3 to 5 minutes per side or until browned.

Cooking tip

Substitution Tip: Use 1 teaspoon McCormick® Crushed Red Pepper in place of the ground red pepper.

For Spicier Ribs: Increase McCormick® Ground Red Pepper to 1 teaspoon.

All Grilling Directions: Preheat grill to low heat. Rub ribs with spice mixture as directed. Wrap ribs with 2 to 3 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil, sealing ends tightly. Grill ribs 1 hour. Remove foil. Brush ribs with maple syrup. Grill ribs 3 to 5 minutes per side or until browned.

Make Ahead: Ribs may be baked 1 day ahead. Cool slightly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Grill as directed, increased time to 5 to 10 minutes.

Will this work with beef ribs?

Have made these ribs twice now, once for myself and once for a European Championship soccer game get together, they were a hit with everyone, no leftovers, my friends daughter told me that I should enter a rib cookoff and I'd win. Like my Grandma used to say finger licking good.

Our family of 6 loved these! Our youngest is 11 and the heat from the crushed red pepper was just right! Don't have a grill so just continued to make in the oven.
