Classic Streusel Topping

Use this streusel topping for fruit pies, crisps or coffee cakes. If desired, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans can be used in addition to or in place of the oats.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon McCormick® Cinnamon Sugar
6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

DIRECTIONS

1. Mix flour, brown sugar and cinnamon sugar in medium bowl.

2. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats.

3. Sprinkle over fruit pie, crisp or coffee cake. Bake as directed on recipe.
