Almond extract delivers a homemade flavor to this quick and easy pound cake recipe. Spoon the glaze over the cake and top with sliced almonds and no one will know you started with a mix.
1 package (16 ounces) pound cake mix
2 teaspoons McCormick® Almond Flavor
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Lemon Extract
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake mix as directed on package, adding almond extract. Pour batter into greased and floured loaf or Bundt pan.
Bake as directed on package. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
Mix confectioners' sugar, water and lemon extract. Spoon glaze over cake. Top with sliced almonds.
