Cozy up to this popular holiday beverage at home. Make it easily with strong coffee, milk, brown sugar and gingerbread spices.
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Cinnamon, Ground
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Ginger, Ground
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups whole milk
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 cup strong brewed coffee
For the Gingerbread Syrup, mix all ingredients in small bowl until well blended. Set aside.
Bring milk and granulated sugar to simmer to medium saucepan on medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Carefully pour mixture into blender container. Add coffee and Gingerbread Syrup. With center part of blender cover removed to let steam escape, blend on medium speed until smooth and frothy. Pour into mugs. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with additional cinnamon, if desired.
To Prepare Without a Blender: Simmer milk as directed. Stir with wire whisk until frothy. Mix coffee and Gingerbread Syrup in 4-cup measuring cup. Pour frothy milk over top; mix well. Serve as directed.
