Mole Poblano is an authentic Mexican sauce made of ground chiles, spices and chocolate served over meat. It is the best known of all mole varieties. Mole Poblano originated in the state of Puebla in Mexico.

Makes 1 cup
YOU WILL NEED
1 pkg. McCormick® Mole Poblano Sauce Mix
1 cup chicken broth or water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
DIRECTIONS
1. MIX all ingredients in small saucepan with whisk until well blended.
2. BRING to boil on medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until mole is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. (Mole will thicken upon standing) Serve over chicken or enchiladas with rice and beans. Sprinkle chicken with sesame seeds, if desired.
USAGE
It is typically used over cooked chicken parts and garnished with sesame seeds, and served with rice and corn tortillas. Mole can also be served in enchiladas.
