USAGE
You Will Need
1 pkg. McCormick Seasoning Mix for Coating Chicken
1 cup vegetable oil
2 ½ lbs. chicken parts
1/4 cup milk or water
HEAT oil in 12-inch skillet on medium-high heat to 365° F.
RINSE and pat dry chicken. Pour Seasoning Mix in large resealable plastic bag. Dip chicken into milk, shaking off excess liquid. Add a few pieces at a time to mix in bag; shake to coat evenly.
FRY 5 minutes or until well browned. Turn chicken over. Reduce heat to medium; cook 15 minutes or until cooked through, removing chicken pieces as they are done. Drain on paper towels.
USAGE
Crispy Baked Chicken Breasts: Mix Seasoning Mix, 1/3 cup cornmeal and 1/2 tsp. McCormick Paprika in large resealable plastic bag. Dip 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (2½ to 3 lbs.) into milk. Coat as directed. Place in single layer in greased foil-lined shallow baking pan. (Do not crowd.) Drizzle with 1/4 cup melted butter. Bake in preheated 450° F oven 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Oven-Fried Chicken: Season and coat chicken as directed. Place chicken in single layer in 2 greased foil-lined shallow baking pans. (Do not crowd.) Drizzle with 1/4 cup melted butter. Bake in preheated 400° F oven 50 minutes or until cooked through.
