Following is the McCormick Nutrition Criteria for Designation as “Good For You” Recipes under the Healthy Banner on mccormick.com. 

 

Good for You recipes are created to comply with the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs).  Certain recipes identified as “Good for You” may exceed DGA guidelines for total fat and/or saturated fat as a percentage of total calories under the following conditions.
In the cases where fat and/or saturated fat levels exceed the DGA guidelines, we include recipes as “Good for You” based upon:

 

1.) if the recipe provides omega-3 rich fats (fish and seafood for example) or healthy fats (nuts and seeds), and/or

2.) if certain recipes meet both the sodium criteria and have lower calories than established by the McCormick Nutrition Criteria, and where saturated fat does not exceed 4 grams per serving.

Includes proteins, rice, pasta or noodles with protein, soups as a main dish, one pot dishes, sandwiches, and recipe mix entrees.
