This home-style dessert that tastes wonderful all by itself, or served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
4 firm ripe pears, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Cinnamon, Saigon, Ground
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Ginger, Ground
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Cinnamon, Saigon, Ground
6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into chunks
Preheat oven to 350°F. Toss pear slices with lemon juice and vanilla in large bowl. Mix cornstarch, cinnamon and ginger. Sprinkle over pears; toss to coat well. Spoon into lightly greased 8- or 9-inch square baking dish.
For the Streusel Topping, mix flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle evenly over pear mixture.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until pears are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm.
