An easy and eye-catching spread for a party. Roll a log of soft goat cheese in crushed peppercorns and Italian seasoning then drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. It’s a pleasing contrast of creamy, tangy, gentle heat and light crunch. Photo credit: Adrianna Adarme from A Cozy Kitchen.
2 teaspoons McCormick Gourmet™ Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Peppercorn Mélange , coarsely crushed
1 log (4 ounces) goat cheese, (chèvre)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Mix Italian seasoning and crushed peppercorns. Roll goat cheese in seasoning mixture until well coated. Place on serving plate. Drizzle goat cheese with oil.
Serve with crackers or French bread slices.
• To crush peppercorns, place peppercorns in large resealable plastic bag. Close tightly. Pound with a rolling pin, mallet or heavy skillet until coarsely crushed.
