Chipotle chile pepper adds its smoky flavor and heat to these grilled chicken skewers. Served either as an appetizer or as a main dish.
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick Gourmet™ Chile Pepper, Chipotle
1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Oregano, Mexican
1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Paprika
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Cumin, Ground
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Garlic Powder, California
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Sicilian Sea Salt
Cut chicken into twelve 1-inch wide strips. Mix brown sugar and seasonings. Rub each chicken strip evenly with seasoning mixture until completely coated.
Thread the chicken in zigzag fashion onto skewers. Spray each strip thoroughly with no stick cooking spray.
Broil or grill over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes until cooked through, turning occasionally.
• If using wooden skewers, soak thoroughly in water at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
