A cool, casual picnic is hard to resist on a beautiful day. Whether you’re going to the beach, park or an outdoor concert, these portable recipes will make your outing memorable and delicious.
For easy travel, pack everything in a picnic basket, cooler or canvas bag. Use tightly sealed plastic containers for the dip, potato salad, chocolate chunk bars and fruit salad. Tightly wrap your sandwiches in foil. Keep your food cold by using cooler packs or partially frozen bottles of water, iced tea or lemonade, which you can drink once thawed.
Don’t forget to bring plates, cups, serving and eating utensils, napkins, paper towels, a tablecloth or sheet for sitting and a bag for the trash. Then sit back, relax and enjoy dining al fresco.
