Savor summer flavors with this three-course barbecue menu perfect for a casual, outdoor dinner party. Most of the dishes can be made ahead of time, keeping you out of the kitchen and leaving you plenty of time to enjoy your guests.
In this menu, our goal was to bring to life some of the hallmark flavors and ingredients from the summer grill. You’ll see smokiness and spice throughout, including the dessert, where we grilled peaches to caramelize the fruit’s natural sugar and infuse the flavors of the grill.
Of course, no summer menu is complete without corn. Corn has a simple sweet profile, so pairing it with a rich spice like cumin, adds depth of flavor. For a modern twist on a popular summer cocktail, we paired the lively Latin duo of tart colorful hibiscus flowers and mildly fruity ancho chile pepper to add punch to sangria.
